Outstanding Alumni Award

Individuals must be nominated to be

considered for this prestigious award.

More than one person may be chosen each year.  Nominees will automatically remain in consideration for a period of five (5) years after nomination is received.

Nominations for 2025 Outstanding Alumni must be received by March 15, 2025

MHS OUTSTANDING ALUMNI CATEGORIES & CRITERIA

​

MHS Outstanding Alumni Inductees MUST BE nominated to be considered.  Nominations may be made at any time and will remain in consideration for a period of five years.  Nominees for the honor of being inducted as an MHS Outstanding Alumni must have graduated at least ten (10) years before nomination and shall be selected based upon the criteria stated in the following categories.

SERVICE & SUPPORT TO MANATEE HIGH SCHOOL

The recipient's deeds and actions reflect the importance of his or her pride in our Alma Mater as demonstrated through their interest, participation, and support of the school or Manatee High Alumni Association.

​

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT:

The recipient has excelled by furthering and utilizing their education for the betterment of themselves and others.

​

COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENT:

The recipient exhibits integrity and a demonstrated commitment to service through an interest in bettering the lives of others through volunteer efforts in their community.

​

HEROIC ACHIEVEMENT:

The recipient must have distinguished themselves through exemplary service and actions within their field of service or been recognized for heroic actions or service above and beyond the call of duty. (ie: Law Enforcement, Fire and Rescue, Red Cross, Park Ranger, etc.

​

MILITARY ACHIEVEMENT:

The recipient must have been honorably discharged from the United States Military and distinguished themselves through years of service, military awards, heroic actions, et.

​

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT:

The recipient has distinguished himself/herself by attaining prominence through his or her efforts in the fields of commerce, industry, technology, medicine, music, or government.
